FERNIE SINGLETRACK SMORGASBORD WEEKEND: British Columbia
Don't have a full week or two to spare? No problem - we've got the perfect getaway for you! Experience the best singletrack the Rockies have to offer, in legendary Fernie, BC, on this 2 or 3-day singletrack smorgasbord! Fernie has over 80 trails to choose from, from mild to wild. You'll get a full feast of singletrack, along with 2 morning skills sessions with our experienced, certified coaches. The weekend includes accommodation at our downtown lodge, delicious meals prepared by our chef, and guided riding on the massive trail network of Fernie.
Day 1. A first day in Fernie
After a good sleep and hearty breakfast you'll build your bikes and we'll spend the 1st hour working on mountain bike skills with our instructors. More advanced riders will work on advanced skills, while less experienced riders will work on intermediate skills. After the skills session, we're off to Ridgemont, ground zero for the Fernie mountain biking scene. Dozens of trails criscross this singletrack paradise and we'll hit some of the local favourites like Kid's Stuff, Splitting Bears and Hessian. After returning to the lodge for a delicious chef-prepared lunch, we'll head out again for an afternoon session and more singletrack feasting! We'll return to the lodge at around 5:00 pm. Tonight's dinner will be a communal one, as we get to know each other around the kitchen!
Day 2. More Fun in Fernie
After breakfast, we'll ride right from our lodge to the skills park for another morning skills session. After an hour at the skill spark, we'll hit the trails and sample some more of the local goodies, like the trails of Mt. Fernie Park, including epics like Dem Bones and the grueling but rewarding Slunt Trail. After a full day of singletrack, we'll return to the lodge for a celebratory drink on the deck. You may choose to return home this evening, or stay and join us for the 3rd day of the smorgasbord!
Day 3. The Smorgasbord Continues
Call in sick and keep the fun going. Add a 3rd day of riding and really take a big bite out of the Fernie scene!
