mountain bike skills camps in Toronto, Ontario, CanadaOur MTB U courses in Southern Ontario are offered on evenings in Toronto and weekends at Hardwood Ski and Bike, to help you take your riding to a higher level with other riders of similar skill.

You'll work on all aspects of your riding, get tips and hands-on instruction from our top instructors, and meet and socialize with other riders in your area!

REGISTER for your courses today:
  1. Pick your learning level (B.A., Masters, or Ph.D - see below)
  2. Pick your format (individual courses, degree program, or weekend camps)
  3. Select your course dates from the availability calendar on the booking page.

LEARNING LEVELS

1) B.A.: for beginners with no experience or less than 1 year of mountain biking experience. You exercise at least once or twice a week, and have experience with bike riding (but not necessarily mountain biking). You want to get into mountain biking, learn the basics in a safe environment and gain confidence on a mountain bike. (rentals are available if you do not have a bike).

2) Masters: For intermediate level riders with 1-3 years of mountain biking experience. You exercise regularly, own oyur own mountain bike, know how to properly use your gears and brakes, can handle slightly steep terrain, and can handle moderately technical terrain and small obstacles such as logs up to 1/2 foot high.

3) Ph.D: For advanced and expert level riders who have at least 3 solid years of experience with mountain biking. You ride regularly (at least once a week all summer), are in very good shape, and are competent in all aspects of mountain biking. You want to take your skills to the highest level, either for racing or just to be the best recreational rider you can be. You can handle steeps, most technical terrain, and medium-sized obstacles (e.g. 1-foot-high logs).

LEARNING FORMATS

There are 3 learning formats to choose from:

  1. Individual evening sessions in the Don Valley: sign up for the courses you want ($40)
  2. Degree program: Sign up for the whole evening series, save $ and get lots of bonuses ($200-$270)
  3. Weekend 'intensive' camps, consisting of 4 courses each ($350)
