Keeping Rides Sacred

Born from a recognition that we have a duty to the people and places where we ride, Keeping Rides Sacred is our commitment to ensuring that we leave these communities and environments enriched and healthier as a result of our being there.

In addition to our Responsible Riding mandate (local guides, local suppliers, etc...), Keeping Rides Sacred also makes direct financial contributions to local community, conservation and environmental projects.

On each trip, we donate 1% of trip revenues to local community projects (see right sidebar). These funds are donated directly to community organizations and local nonprofit organizations.

We also offer our Riders opportunities to learn more about these projects while on their Ride, and often provide opportunities for hands-on volunteering, working side-by-side with community members. We have also teamed with Artez to provide online fundraising tools to allow our Riders the opportunity to do their own fundraising before, during and after their trip. For an example of this sytem in action, check out the online page for the Awamaki Weaving Project in Peru.

By Keeping Rides Sacred, we hope to showcase mountain biking as a force for good in the world - join us for a Ride to find out how you can get involved!
