MTB U Evening Skills Sessions in the Don Valley - Ph.D. Level
Our Ph.D Level program is designed for advanced/expert mountain bikers with at least 3 years of mountain biking experience.
Courses take place on Wednesday nights on the Don Valley trails in Toronto, with 5-course series starting on May 30 and July 11.
After each session, we'll head to the café at Gears Bike Shop for snacks, a few drinks, and socializing with other Riders.
Sessions start at 6:15 pm at Gears Bike Shop in Leaside at 109 Vanderhoof Ave.

COURSES/MODULES

You & Your Bike: fine tuning your suspension, tire selection & pressure, advanced braking, slow speed balance, wheel lifts &
bunny hops - Climbing/Descending: proper body positioning for climbing and descending, gearing, weight transfer
- Braking/High Speed Cornering: Using your brakes properly, how to enter and exit a corner properly, switchbacks, ‘skid’ turns

Trail Reading, Technical Riding and Racing: advanced trail reading, preparing for technical sections, riding technical sections
and trails, race strategies and tactics. -
Stunt Riding and Jumps/Drops: How to ride advanced 'North-Shore' style obstacles (bridges, skinnies, teeter-totters, etc...)
and ride over medium jumps and drops.
